Since our inception in 2000 OCEDC has accomplished much, including the following:

• Grown our membership from an initial 5 agencies to over 350 businesses, agencies and organizations.
• Attracted over 420 businesses and 8300 job seekers to our annual Diversity Job Expos.
• Motivated over 2230 to attend our annual Diversity Conferences.
• Stimulated over 2435 to participate in our annual Diversity Forums.
• Incorporated and established as federal 501c3 tax exempt organization.

Recent accomplishments include the following:

• Diversity Conference 2007 – Stedman Graham served as keynote speaker 300+ Attendees.
• Diversity Job Expo 2007 - 76 Vendors & 850+ Job Seekers.
• Diversity Job Expo 2008
• Conducted 2007 CEO Forum @ Detroit Athletic Club in Conjunction with Detroit Regional Chamber & Michigan Roundtable for Diversity & Inclusion, 70+ attendees.
• Diversity Forum November 2007 – KMR Diversity Theatre Group over 260 attendees.
• SHRM Credits available for Diversity Forum Attendees.
• Established a Scholarship Fund.
• Sponsored New Logo Contest.
• Provided Gas Cards to Job Seekers.
• Diversity Conference 2008 - Dennis Archer served as keynote speaker 275+ Attendees.
• Women in Leadership Summit 2009 - Carmen Harlan served as keynote speaker 335+ Attendees.
• Diversity Conference 2010 - Tony Brown served as keynote speaker 130+ Attendees.
