The contemporary workplace view of gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender issues continues to be one of the most difficult for Human Resources Executives to handle. This month’s Forum addresses the issue head on as we discuss what happens when one of your supervisors comes out of the closet. The dynamics of subordinate, peer, and supervisor attitudes will be examined using a real case scenario. we will also hear from a panel of young professionals the difference between gay perceptions of Baby Boomer and GenX co-workers, and supervisors. Facilitated by Affirmations. You will learn:
·         The generational impact of GBLT diversity and inclusion
·         The challenges faced in the workplace when an manager and other employee reveals they are gay and how to effectively handle the situation to maintain a healthy workplace
·         What must remain confidential and what you can say to others
·         How the viewpoint of GBLT has changed throughout the generations

Respecting Diversity During the Holiday Season

As we enter the holiday season we will prepare ourselves for the many challenges faced by HR Professionals dealing with employee conflicts and expectations. A panel comprised of representatives of the Christian, Hindu, Jewish, and Muslim communities will look at major religious and non-religious holidays in November, December, and January.
